INTRODUCING THE VT PLUS FX LOOP MOD KITS
This is the DIY passive effects loop modification kit for the 4th generation cloth grilled Valvetronix® plus amps that all the buzz is about!
The VT+ MOD KIT is completely assembled and ready to install with only 4 (four) internal solder connections required. And, the kit comes with our easy to install no hassle can’t get it wrong soldering template. The soldering template covers the circuit board, exposing only the correct solder connections on the circuit board. The template’s solder connections are color coded to match the MOD’s wire colors, and the MOD’s wires are pre-tinned with the correct amount of solder and flux already. Simply heat the indicated solder connections and insert the MOD’s wires. Plus, we also include our soldering guide, providing you with tips and coveted knowledge that will allow you to solder like a pro almost immediately!
The MOD fits into your amp’s existing wood rear panel, there is no metal to drill. You will need to cut a rectangular hole in your amp’s existing wood rear panel to allow the installation of the MOD’s control panel, and we include a cut-out template with the kit. The template aligns the MOD’s panel cut-out in the correct location on your rear panel and provides a cutting line to follow with your cutting tool.
The VT+ loop mod kit features the following;
- EFFECTS LOOP, the MOD adds a passive series effects loop to the amp using durable 1/4” Neutrik® jacks for both the send and return. The loop allows you to place your time and EQ based pedal effects into the loop after the pre-amp turning your amp into a beast!
- CD/AUX input, the MOD adds a CD/AUX input with its own level control and uses a durable 1/4” Neutrik® jack, eliminating the troubles of the amp’s existing fragile 1/8” aux-in jack.
- NEW HEADPHONE CIRCUIT, the MOD adds a new headphone circuit that no longer sends the amp’s signal through the jack and uses a durable 1/4” Neutrik® jack, virtually eliminates the troubles associated with the existing fragile 1/8” headphone jack. No more volume drops caused by corroded contacts.
- MUTE SWITCH, the MOD reconfigures the amp’s mute circuit giving you the ability to turn it on and off. This allows you to use the new headphone jack as a line out and still have the amp’s speaker on as a stage monitor! And still be able to mute the speaker for silent headphone use, now it’s your choice.
- MUTE SWITCH JACK, the MOD adds a foot switch jack using a durable 1/4” Neutrik® jack. This allows you to use a standard single button foot switch to operate the mute circuit for silent stage tuning, standby, exc..
- EXTERNAL SPEAKER JACK, on the VT20 & 40+ models the MOD adds an external speaker jack, using a durable 1/4” Neutrik® jack that when in use it disconnects the internal speaker allowing the use of an external speaker box for a much bigger sound.
EXTENSION SPEAKER JACK, on the VT80 & 120+ models the MOD adds an extension speaker jack, using a durable 1/4” Neutrik® jack that when in use keeps the internal speaker on, but places the internal speaker in series with the external speaker box, allowing you to use the amp’s speaker(s) with an additional speaker box.
*Plus, we've added fuse protection to the speaker circuit to help prevent harm from happening to the amp in the event of a shorted or damaged speaker.

It replaces the existing input jack and its troublesome circuit board assembly with a new hard wired assembly, correcting many of the problems associated with the old jack’s contacts and circuit board. The new input jack is Neutrik® brand with higher quality contacts and eliminates most of the dirty/oxidized jack problems as well. This is the easiest input jack fix available, ready to install and plug-in, in most cases it only takes a few minutes to install.

The VT MOD KIT is completely assembled and ready to plug-in, there is absolutely no soldering required! Simply disconnect a couple of internal plugs and replace with our plugs, it couldn’t be simpler!
The MOD fits into your amp’s existing wood rear panel, there is no metal to drill. You will need to cut a rectangular hole in your amp’s existing wood rear panel to allow the installation of the MOD’s control panel, and we include a cut-out template with the kit. The template aligns the MOD’s panel cut-out in the correct location on your rear panel and provides a cutting line to follow with your cutting tool.

This allows the use of a modified two button foot switch to operate the mute and boost features by remote, giving a lead boost and stage mute for silent tuning, standby, exc. Plus we include instruction on how to modify your own two button foot switch to work with the MOD, or you may purchase one of our already modified foot switches from us separately.

The new input jack is NEUTRIK brand with higher quality contacts and eliminates most of the dirty/oxidized jack problems as well. VT HEADPHONE TEST CIRCUIT NO SOLDERING REQUIRED!
If you are having trouble with the sound quality from your amp and suspect the headphone circuit is to blame, our headphone test circuit can confirm your suspicions. The test circuit plugs in (no soldering is required) and completely bypasses the existing headphone circuit. The test circuit matches the amp’s existing headphone circuit impedance and capacitance requirements, it is a self contained circuit that will not harm your amp. And, in most cases it can be installed and tested in as little as 20 minutes.
Plus, if you purchase the headphone test circuit and it successfully restores your amp’s sound, you may return it within 30 days undamaged and the purchase price (excluding shipping) will be applied as a credit towards any of our other MOD KITS.

THIS IS THE INPUT / HEADPHONE JACK KIT FOR USE WITHOUT THE LOOP MOD
This kit replaces the input and headphone jacks along with their circuit board and corrects the problems associated with the original circuit board and jacks. The headphone jack is converted to a 1/4” size for durability, and the new jack’s higher quality contacts eliminate most of the dirty/oxidized jack related problems. Also, the new circuit no longer routes the signal through the headphone jack virtually eliminating the drop-out/volume losses due to corroded jack contacts! This kit requires the existing headphone jack hole be enlarged to accommodate the new jack and we’ve included the tool to enlarge the headphone jack hole, all you need is a few simple hand tools, in most cases the kit can be installed in less than 60 minutes!
NOTE, this kit does not add or change any of your amps existing features, it only addresses the input / headphone jack's function and dependability.

INTRODUCING THE AD FX LOOP MOD KITS
This is the DIY passive effects loop modification kit for the 1st generation chrome metal grilled and 2nd generation black metal grilled Valvetronix® amps that all the buzz is about!
The AD MOD KIT is completely assembled and ready to install, there is absolutely no soldering required! You do not have to fool with any circuit boards, simply cut and separate a couple of wires inside the amp and install the MOD’s wires using the supplied specialty crimp connections!
The MOD fits into your amp’s existing wood rear panel, there is no metal to drill. You will need to cut a rectangular hole in your amp’s existing wood rear panel to allow the installation of the MOD’s control panel, and we include a cut-out template with the kit. The template aligns the MOD’s panel cut-out in the correct location on your rear panel and provides a cutting line to follow with your cutting tool.
The AD loop mod kit features the following;
- EFFECTS LOOP, the MOD adds a passive series effects loop to the amp using durable 1/4” Neutrik® jacks for both the send and return. The loop allows you to place your time and EQ based pedal effects into the loop after the pre-amp turning your amp into a beast!
- CD/AUX input, the MOD adds a CD/AUX input with its own level control and uses a durable 1/4” Neutrik® jack.
- NEW LINE-OUT JACK, the MOD adds a new line out jack, using durable 1/4” Neutrik® jack. And the line out does not mute the speaker. When using the line out you still have the amp’s speaker on as a stage monitor!

1/4” JACK CLEANING TOOL
This is a small yet powerful tool that simultaneously opens the jack’s switching contacts while directing your cleaning solution into the switching contacts. This tool works with 1/4” mono and stereo jacks equally, with the cleaning results much improved. The tool is made of clear acrylic plastic so you can see your cleaner being delivered into the jack.

JACK CLEANING BRUSHES
This is a set of 5 very small nylon brushes, sized from 1/16” in increments to 1/4” perfect for gently scrubbing the plug contacts inside your jacks without doing any harm. Use these brushes immediately after using the jack cleaning tool for that extra cleaning power to scrub the contacts clean. Unlike wire brushes that can damage the jacks plated surfaces, these gentle scrubing nylon brushes will not cause any harm to the jack’s plated surfaces.

POTENTIOMETER CLEANING TOOL
This is a small yet powerful tool that in most cases allows you to clean your potentiometers from the top side without disassembling anything. The tool is made of clear acrylic plastic so you can see your cleaner doing its job. It is double ended, black rubber end fits standard sized pot threads and the red rubber end fits smaller pot threads.
